Our Philosophy

At Lewes Counselling, we accept you without judgment, regardless of what you share. Our purpose is to provide a safe and supportive space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings. Our person-centered philosophy puts the individual at the heart of all decisions and actions. It prioritizes the needs, desires, and goals of the people being served above all else.

Counselling provides you with a safe and unique space to explore your feelings, thoughts and emotions. There is no right or wrong way to approach therapy, and the therapist will listen closely to you, and support you to reflect on the issues you choose to bring.

Because we understand that seeking help can be a big decision, we offer a free initial chat so you can decide if you want to go ahead. This will usually be over the phone. You can contact us to book a call by calling, texting, emailing, using the Contact Form on the site, or even via WhatsApp.

About Me

I am a BACP registered counsellor, providing short-term and long-term counselling in Lewes in East Sussex. I work flexibly according to my clients' needs, at my practice rooms or online.

I have a Masters Degree in Psychology from the University Surrey, a Diploma in Integrative Person-Centred Counselling, and over 25 years' experience in social care, mental heath and rehabilitation.

I help my clients with a wide range of issues, including:

Bereavement and loss

Anxiety, depression and low self-esteem

Relationship problems

Fatigue, lack of motivation and loss of meaning

Life transitions and change

Mental Health problems

I have extensive experience of working with people who feel alienated and marginalised in our society. I welcome people of all sexualities and gender identities, and those who are questioning how they identify. I have worked at Brighton Housing Trust Macmillan and the NHS.

I have a particular interest in mental health, how it affects us, and how we can improve the quality of our lives.
